Richard Corbett

Richard Corbett studied fine art, specialising in printmaking, at Norwich School of Art and graduated in 1994. He loved painting the big skies and light of Suffolk but decided he needed a change in landscape. He moved to Monmouth, South Wales, attracted by the rolling hills and river valleys. It proved to be the right decision as he started producing rich landscapes full of light and movement.
Using Old Holland paints on fine canvas, Richard tries to capture the play of light and the atmosphere that it creates; evoking memories of time spent in the landscape or in more intimate spaces.
